blog entry-mock final
2) Look at the first mock final. what problems are you confident about? how many points total are they worth.
I am confident about the fractions, order of operations, and word problems at the moment. I need to brush up on Equations, graphing, polynomials and scientific notation if I want to stand any chance of passing. Right now in my current state I can only ensure that 25-30 problems would be correct, which would only be about a 60-70%. The test is worth 100%

a) What topics are you struggling with most?
Exponents! They are more confusing than graphing right now!
b) How can you start studying for the final?
Go over exponents, graphing, and scientific notation. Plus, maybe see a mock final.

1. Describe working in a group. Pros and cons.
Pros: Splitting the work, and having multiple brains working together.
Cons: Sometimes numbers don’t make a difference when nobody knows what is going on.
2. What parts of graphing do you feel confident about? What do you still need to work on?
Plotting points, and some of the basic stuff relating to slope and intercept.
I need to brush up on everything.
3. Are you ready for the final?
No. Not for a while. I still am very rusty on math.

Gender Issues Rant
One thing that I don’t understand about gender stereotypes and issues is how a man is looked down upon if he is not scruffy, full of muscles, and has the attitude of a bad boy. People don’t view a man, as a man if he is not dirty, doesn’t like to work out, and has compassion. For some reason men are not allowed to be seen crying, and they can not listen to any music that has a woman singer. If men are seen doing these things, people automatically assume he’s gay.
Word problems blog
1. How do word problems make you feel?
Word problems make me feel rushed. It makes me feel like I don’t have enough time to learn them, because of their difficulty.
2. How do you approach word problems?
Well first I read the problem, try to understand it, and if I do understand it, ill do the problem. If I don’t ill sit there as confused as a vegetarian trying to serve himself at a barbeque.

MyMathLab Blog Q’s
1) How have you been doing your work in MyMathLab?
I have been slowly but surely learning math better than I ever did in Highschool.
2) Have there been any upsides or downsides? Explain.
I do not like how picky MyMathLab is. I cannot type in a decimal of a fraction that are the exact same things.
3) What are your feelings about showing your work neatly?
I now understand why I never got anywhere close to learning algebra as I am now. I am doing things the teacher’s way, and showing all my work. I am actually learning from this.
Learning Styles Inventory
1) I am balanced between Active and Reflective learning, which I got a 1. I got a 5 in Intuitive learning. I got a 3 in Visual learning. I am balanced between sequential and global learning with a 1.
2) One way I think I could be a better student is not getting as bored of lectures as I normally do.
3) I think I will have to think outside my prefered learning, by taking a lot of notes and paying attention to a lot of boring lectures.
4) I could take a essay, and turn it into a presentation consisting of all the important material, with many graphs, pictures, tables, and have it in a neat powerpoint.
